Anchored in the landscape, and connected to the rhythms of its coastal locality, the predominantly brick and concrete house is both embracing and defensive in its moderation of sun, salt and sea breezes. Materials are warm, tactile and timeless, tempering the intensity of the sun and creating a perceptible shift in temperature and mood.
Arranged over six split levels, the layout is fluid and relaxed—designed with a sense of modern coastal ease. As you move through the home, you're constantly aware of its relationship to place: framed views, dappled light, the smell of salt in the air. This is a house that doesn’t impose on its site but grows from it, balancing the elemental forces of its environment within a calm, crafted sanctuary.
